In 1985, thirty Black women forged lifetime friendships and renewed their commitment to service when they chartered the Pi Alpha Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. It became AKA's fourth graduate chapter in Metro Atlanta as locals still questioned what it meant to live in "the city too busy to hate." Premiering at Spelman College on PAO's 40th Charter Day, Through the Years captures the voices of chapter visionaries as they journey through their histories-from the Great Migration to the Civil Rights Movement and the fractured democracy that faces us today.
