DIRECTOR(s): Greg Williams
PROJECT TYPE: Narrative Short
GENRE: Historical Drama
COUNTRY: United States
RUN TIME: 10 min
On a cold February morning in 1960, four freshmen from North Carolina A&T State University—David Richmond, Franklin McCain, Ezell Blair Jr., and Joseph McNeil—walked into the Woolworth’s in downtown Greensboro and quietly took their seats at the whites-only lunch counter. Their request was simple: a cup of coffee. Their refusal was swift. But what began as a moment of denial became an act of defiance that echoed far beyond those walls.

With discipline, courage, and unwavering resolve, the young men, soon to be known as the Greensboro Four, sparked a movement. Joined by classmates, professors, neighbors, and allies across the country, they transformed an ordinary counter into a battleground for justice. What followed was not just a sit-in, but the birth of a revolution that changed America’s conscience, one seat at a time.
