SIMMER

While incarcerated, Cyrus Bishop found solace in the prison kitchen, befriending the prison chef and discovering a passion for cooking. Now that his sentence is up, he must decide whether to return home to Tremé, New Orleans, or pursue his newfound passion by enrolling in a prestigious, all-white culinary arts school.  'Simmer" is a 15-minute short film, and a proof of concept for a feature screenplay by Owen Schwartzbard and Derrick Haggerty.

DISCHARGED

A mismatched quartet of not-so-honorably discharged military veterans unleash the good, the bad and the dark side of patriotism on Hollywood.  Discharged follows four veteran friends navigating their military transition. After discharging from the military due to PTSD, Axel (a Marine Corps veteran) had given up on finding employment until he landed a multi-million dollar contract as a Stuntman. Remembering his oath to never leave a fallen comrade, Axel employs his battle buddies (also veterans) as part of his management team and they all head off to Hollywood in search of their next chapter.
