60 min | Holland | Documentary Long Africa |   Director James Byrne

Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique has become one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife restoration. With renewed protections, the park has increased its large mammal population 10-fold to over 100,000  animals. But, as a young elephant ecologist points out, the park and the surrounding communities of 200,000 people had to find ways to coexist.  She shares the inspiring story of how the Gorongosa area became a model for wildlife conservation and community development.
